PREMIER CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT

NSCC Cricket Manager Bruce Warner has advised the NSCC Executive Board that Josh Tasman-Jones has been appointed Premier Team captain, as of the coming season. Craig McGuigan has made the decision to step down after 3 years in charge, and he will be a hard act to follow. However, Bruce believes Josh is made of the right stuff. Whilst only 21 years of age, he has the respect, passion, work ethic, level headedness, positive approach, and thoughtfulness required for the job. The club looks forward to exciting times under Josh's leadership, and has total faith that he will do an outstanding job.
  
 A word from Craig McGuigan: "Having captained the NSCC Premiers for three years I have decided to step aside and let Josh Tasman-Jones take the reins. It has been an extremely enjoyable role and one that I have been honoured to have been given the chance to do. It is a challenging role and I greatly appreciate the support I have had from my team and both Pat Cole and Richard Jones who have coached during this period. North Shore is a great club, it has a great spirit and it has a great bunch of guys. I look forward to continuing on playing with them and wish Josh all the best for his future role as captain."

Lastly, a word from the new Premier Captain: "It's an honour to have the opportunity to lead the Premier side at North Shore. While Googs has left big shoes to fill it is a challenge I'm looking forward to taking on. With the talent and experience currently available at the club there is every reason for players and supporters of the club to be optimistic and excited by what the coming season has in store for the Shore senior squads."
 
The Board congratulates Josh TJ on his appointment and wishes him well in his new role for the Club. We also would like to thank Craig for his great service over the last three seasons.
