Devonport Domain is widely known as one of the most attractive cricket grounds in the country. Nestled between three extinct volcanoes on the Devonport peninsula and surrounded by 70 - 100 year old trees it is regularly acclaimed to have the best pitches in Auckland. “The Domain” has four senior grade grass pitches, plus one (three strip) at Stanley Bay Park.
We also have a senior grade artificial pitch in close proximity to our clubrooms on the adjacent Vauxhall Reserve. We have additional artificial wickets at Stanley Bay Park, Bayswater Reserve, one at Takapuna Grammar School and two at Belmont Intermediate School.
At Devonport Domain, the North Shore Cricket Club has three-lane fixed practice nets (concrete pad) suitable for all grades.
At Devonport Domain the North Shore Cricket Club has three covers for some or all grass pitches and a cover for the pitch at Stanley Bay Park.
At Devonport Domain we have two changing rooms including showers and toilet facilities.
At Vauxhall Road we have changing facilities for Premier matches.
At Stanley Bay Park we have a shared changing room.
At Devonport Domain we have the following items to purchase throughout the day and evening: Tea/coffee, Soft drinks, Sandwiches/hot food, etc.
We boast one of the most attractive and social clubhouse in Auckland. It includes a large lounge, a fully professional bar facility, and a patio viewing area out front.
The North Shore Cricket Club is governed by an Executive Board and a Junior sub-committee.
We provide for and manage cricket for players of Primary, Intermediate and Secondary school ages.
The North Shore Cricket Club provides quality coaching and player development courses for the improvement of junior and senior grade players.
We fielded eight senior grade men’s teams in 2016/17.
We actively foster girls and women’s cricket in the schools and the community in our geographical area.
We hold a twilight cricket evening during the season's for non-saturday playing social teams, it is played during the evenings midweek.
The North Shore Cricket Club has a relationship, which includes the sharing of facilities, coaching resources, etc., with Takapuna Grammar School. In January 2003 the North Shore Cricket signed a partnership agreement with Takapuna Grammar School to provide the school with all coaching resources and with the shared goal to raise and return the standard of cricket in the school to the high levels of 20 years ago. This relationship was further strengthened in 2016/17 with the appointment of Graeme Beghin as Director of Cricket at Takapuna Grammar. Graeme also coaches the NSCC Premier men's team and Emerging Hearts team.
